Some of the many activities available to vacationers while at the Lodge include:
Hiking:
In addition to the many old logging trails that cross the
mountain there are also numerous Established
hiking trails in the immediate local area.
Water Fun:
The lodge is located only 15 miles from Seven
Points on Raystown
Lake. You can launch a jon boat, canoe, or kayak at the Point Access at the confluence of the Juniata
River and the Raystown Branch (1 mile from the lodge) or at any of 7 launch
sites on Raystown
Lake. The Raystown Branch of the Juniata River is a popular spot for
summertime rafting, inner-tubing and swimming.
Fishing:
Raystown Lake is known for its record setting fish.
The last 2 Pennsylvania record setting Striped Bass (50-1/2 lbs & 53 lbs-12
oz.) came from this lake. The Juniata River and Raystown Branch are both
excellent Small Mouth Bass waters. In 2005, for the first time in several
decades the Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission has stocked Trout in the
Raystown branch!
